The Project
David Mileikowsky & Friends are redefining the traditional modern art gallery experience. For six months, our MODERN ART LAB will showcase works by four exceptional contemporary artists, each carefully selected and curated by world-renowned Belgian artist Ann Veronica Janssens.
This art lab is a living, ever-evolving space dedicated entirely to artistic exploration and experimentation. Every visit offers a new perspective, an immersive encounter, and a bold challenge to how contemporary art is seen and experienced.
Over 3,000 targeted guests will be invited, including collectors, curators, art lovers, and (international) journalists.
Our Curator - Ann Veronica Janssens
Ann Veronica Janssens is one of the most famous Belgian artists known for her work with light, colour, and space. Her minimalist, sensory-driven approach explores perception through immersive installations.
As curator of the artists of our Modern Art Lab, she brings a radical contemporary vision. Committed to innovative mediation, she selects artists who challenge how we see the world.
Ann Veronica Janssens has exhibited her work in some of the world's most prestigious contemporary art venues, including: Auckland, New Zealand – ARTSPACE, Avignon, France – Collection Lambert, Baltimore, United States – Baltimore Museum of Art, Barcelona, Spain – Galerie Toni Tàpies, Berlin, Germany – Neue Nationalgalerie, and many more.
The Initiator - David Mileikowsky
David is one of those multi-talented creatures who are so hard to classify: painter, filmmaker, sculptor, writer, producer... and what else? He began in 1972 with an exhibition at the Palais des Beaux-Arts and followed up with prizes in Venice and Asolo for his films, as well as numerous films for leading perfume brands around the world.
Recently, he—and his son—received 36 awards for a single film script. For this edition, David Mileikowsky unveils La Forza del Destino — a series of artworks where the tragic, the intimate and the sublime converge. Driven by a powerful narrative impulse, his work explores beauty born from chaos, light filtered through scars, and the transformative force of fate. His pieces are luminous fragments of an internal struggle.
The concept David Mileikowsky & Friends is an innovative initiative in which the project's initiator collaborates with his business partner Karine Ysebrant, CEO of Milly Films International and a specialist in media and marketing.
